Power Grid ET Recruitment 2011 Posted: 02 Feb 2011 09:45 AM PST Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has just today brought out the recruitment notification for 85 vacancies of Executive Trainee (ET). But before that let us know Power Grid Corporation as an organisation. What is Power Grid Corporation? Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. is the largest transmission utility organisation in India and is one of the largest in the world – accounting for 45% power transmissions in India (the other Indian organisations in this sector being – NTPC, NHPC & NPCI). It is responsible for the inter-state transmission of electricity and the development of national grid. Power Grid has a pan India presence with around 71,500 Circuit-km of Transmission network and 120 nos. of EHVAC & HVDC sub-stations with a total transformation capacity of 79,500 MVA. Power Grid has consistently maintained the transmission system availability over 99.00% which is at par with the International Utilities. In the recent times, it has also diversified into Telecom business and established a telecom network of more than 20,000 km across the country. Power Grid ET Vacancy Position: Vacancy as per above notification is: Executive Trainee (Electrical): 85 Power Grid ET Salary: Power Grid is offering salary in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-50500 (Aprox CTC Rs.6.3 lakhs per year) during the one-year training period. Post training CTC is Rs.11.7 lakhs per annum. Power Grid ET Eligibilities: Age eligibility: as on 18.02.2011 Maximum 28 years (Age relaxations exists as per Govt rule) Academic Qualification eligibility: For Executive Trainee (Electrical) positions: Minimum 65% marks in B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) / BE (Power Engg.) / AMIE in Electrical Discipline from recognized University/Institute. Final year students can also apply, provided the results are declared within 31.07.2010. Only pass marks required for SC/ST/PH candidates. Candidates with AMIE qualification may apply only if they have cleared both Section A and B with not less than 65% marks. But if you belong to General/OBC categories, even before applying online, you need to make a Demand draft (DD) for the PGCIL application fee of Rs.400/- from SBI. The DD to be drawn in in favour of 'Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.' payable at New Delhi. You need to enter these details in the Power Grid Online form.
