CAREER PROSPECT:[/b] The Company offers professional work environment with modern technology & system. The Company is in the process of modernizing and updating its activities with IT enabled services including ERP. It offers time bound promotion to the employees with higher responsibility depending upon their sincerity, initiative and merit. The selected candidates shall undergo extensive on-the-job and class room training in the Company's establishments during the period of probation. On successful completion of probation, they may be confirmed under the Company. AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit 27 years as on 01.01.2012 with relaxation for SC/ST and OBC candidates of West Bengal for 5 years and 3 years respectively.

PROCESSING & EXAMINATION FEE: Non refundable Crossed demand draft of 400/- as processing and Examination fees for Sl. No. 01 to 05 and 300/- for Sl. No. 06 and 07. SC / ST candidates from the state of West Bengal are exempted from paying any fees.

The Demand Draft once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances and should be drawn in favour of “West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd.” payable at Kolkata only. Demand drafts payable at locations other than Kolkata will not be accepted. Money Order / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable.

RESERVATION: Reservation for the post under Sl. No. 1-5 shall be made for SC / ST / OBC (A) / OBC (B) / Exempted Category / Physically Challenged candidates and for the post under Sl. No. 6-7 reservation shall be made for SC / ST / OBC (A) / OBC (B) / Physically Challenged / Ex-Serviceman / Exempted Category / Sports Persons as per the guidelines issued by the of Govt. of West Bengal time to time. SC / ST / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates from State other than West Bengal have to apply as general candidates. The vacancy against exempted category shall be filled up as per rules of Govt. of WB.

On 15.11.2000 the Land of lord Birsa emerged as a new state as State of Jharkhand, which filed up the inhabitants of the state with great Joy. Since independence, the people of Jharkhand who are residing in remote places had not seen the light of civilisation which actually come through the new Carrier “Electricity”. Immediately after the new state was constituted on 10.01.2001 the state of Jharkhand announced constitution, of Jharkhand State Electricity Board to take up all activities for electrification of the whole state. On 16.03.2001 the Government of Jharkhand appointed the Chairman and member of Jharkhand State Electricity Board and the first Board took up its work with great enthusiasm.
