About APSPDCLAP Power Sector Reforms envisage creation of Distribution Companies as Government Undertakings for the first few years and privatization later on. The Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.37 published by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Friday the 31st of March 2000 declared formally formation of Distribution Companies. In this process, Andhra Pradesh Southern Electricity Distribution Company was formed for the following six districts of Andhra Pradesh. Selection Procedure: The eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written examination only at Tirupati centre. The following are the minimum qualifying marks in the written test for SC/ST – 30% or as per Rules and other terms of Presidential Order. Selection will be made 100% based on merit in written examination and after verification of certificates. The merit candidates community wise will be called for verification of certificates in 1:2 ratio.
