Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (PET) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.) course in various technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PET to get admission in the best engineering institutes in the state.  The exam is conducted in various centers in order to provide comfort to the students. The students have to be more conscious about this exam and need to work harder to get admission in the reputed institutes of Madhya Pradesh.

Institutes under this examination:

There are 159 institutes in Madhya Pradesh offering Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses through Madhya Pradesh PET. The institute's campuses have well equipped library, labs and well furnished class rooms for students. The institute also provides internet connections throughout the campus. The various institutes in Madhya Pradesh give all sorts of transportation facility to its students and also give residential facility to them.

More about Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test:

Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test is an examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board for pursuing various engineering courses. 90% seats in the Government/Aided colleges are reserved for Madhya Pradesh candidates, 5% for Outside MP candidates and 5% for NRIs. For Private Self-financing institutes 75% of seats are reserved for MP candidates, 20% seats for Outside candidates and 5% seats for NRI candidates.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for this exam.

Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years (24 years for SC/ST) on 1st October, 2011.

Those students who are applying for Madhya Pradesh seats should have a Madhya Pradesh domicile for which a candidate should have at least been educated for 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years in an institution in Madhya Pradesh.

Availability of Forms for MP PET 2011:

The forms for MP PET 2011 are expected to be available by April in the office of Professional Examination Board or any of the State Engineering Colleges. The form can also be obtained by post from Board Office by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Important Dates (Tentative):

Date of Entrance Examination: 1st week of May, 2011

Online Application Forms: 2nd week of March-1st week of April, 2011

Pattern of Examination:

The paper will consist of objective questions from the following subjects:

Physics-300 marks

Chemistry-300 marks

Mathematics-300 marks

Syllabus will be from class 11th and 12th PCM syllabus.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) is a yearly entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority that leads admission to various undergraduate medical/dental/engineering/architecture courses in the colleges and universities across Karnataka. Karnataka CET consists of examinations for four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology & Mathematics. Those who want admission in medical/dental courses appear for Physics, Chemistry and Biology exams. The candidates who want admission in B. Eligibility criteria:

For Medical/Dental Courses:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply. Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 25 years as on 31st December, 2011.

For Engineering Courses:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Mathematics and any of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects(40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.

For Architecture Course:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all the subjects (45% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply. Candidates should have also appeared in NATA and got a minimum of 40% marks in it.

Availability of Application forms:

The forms for Karnataka CET will be available in schools and colleges of the Karnataka CET. For those residing outside Karnataka the form can be obtained by post from KEA by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
